Victoria Jackson-Mahnke received a BFA in Drawing and Painting in 2013, from the University of North Texas. Of Mestizo and African decent, her colorful works pay homage to her multiethnic background. Abstracted landscapes, native wildlife, ambiguous figures, and Catholic saints are brought to life utilizing contrasting and harmonious colors and bold compositions. Continuous themes of self identity, horror vacui and juxtaposing elements are present throughout her work. Though formally trained as a realist painter, she now prefers to explore mixing various materials and mediums. Victoria has also worked professionally as a Tattoo Artist and is a certified Therapeutic Art Life Coach.
Victoria currently resides in Dallas Texas with her family. Presently she works professionally as an Artist, doing commissioned work throughout DFW, and as a Tattoo Artist at Fallen Ink Tattoo Studio in Lake Dallas Texas.
